The 40 GB Satin Silver PS3 (which looks an awful lot like the prototype PS3) should be released in Japan in early March. Alas, SCEA has stated that there are no plans to release a silver PS3 outside of Japan.

It's too bad really, it seems like Japan gets all the fun console colors.
