Over at the official Rock Band forums Harmonix confirmed that a patch to the PS3 version of the game is coming shortly. According to the post the patch, ”addresses a number of items related to guitar controller compatibility.” A little deduction leads us to the believe this will fix the problem with GHIII guitars not working with Rock Band.

No time frame was given for the patch’s release, but at least PS3 rockers will be able to finally assemble a full band. We’re going under the assumption that this is indeed related to the guitar issue, as fans have been quite vocal about their disappointment with this major flub.

PS3 owners should keep an eye out for the patch, as it should be ready to go pretty much right now.
